The Sacramento County Bicycle Master plan is intended to guide and influence bikeway policies, programs, and standards to make bicycling in Sacramento County more safe, comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable for all bicyclists. The ultimate goal is to increase the number of persons who bicycle to work, school, errands, and recreation in Sacramento County.
The Adopted Sacramento County Bicycle Master Plan, April 2011, and Amendment No. 1, January 2012, is available below. It is a very large file and may take a long time to open depending on the speed of your connection. The Northwest Bicycle Master Plan Wall map is compiled for convenience in locating planned bikeway facilities contained in the Sacramento County Bicycle Master Plan (SCBMP), April 2011, as amended on January 24, 2012. It is not 100% accurate and does not replace the SCBMP. The SCBMP is only valid for the unincorporated areas of the county.
