Project Description

Project work will include a bridge along Winding Way, approximately 0.1 mile west of Chicago Avenue, over Chicago Creek with a new 39 foot wide, 131.5 foot long single span cast-in-place concrete bridge.  This work requires the closure of Winding Way from Park Avenue to Chicago Avenue, but local access will be maintained for property owners and residents. The public is asked to follow detour signs and electronic message boards during the construction.

Project work includes

• Replacing the existing bridge with a single-span cast-in-place concrete girder bridge.
• Construction of see-through guardrails on both sides.
• Pavement improvements and widening to provide space for bike lanes.
