44th Street Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Lighting Improvements Project

​This project will improve bicyclist, pedestrian, street lighting, and resurface roadway pavement for a half mile along 44th Street between Maynard Way (SR 99 Pedestrian Overcrossing) and 47th Avenue in South Sacramento (District 2). The project includes installation of Class 2 bike lanes, sidewalk and sidewalk ramps to current ADA standards, and the installation of new street lights.

Estimated construction cost is $1,075,000, with funding provided by a combination of  Federal Community Development​ Block Grant Program​ (CDBGP), and District 2 Senate Bill 1 (SB1) Local Streets and Roads Program (LSRP).
