We are looking for an Associate Civil Engineer I/II for our Design team. The Associate Civil Engineer is responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of complex professional field and office engineering work in connection with Design, Development, and Construction for the Engineering Division and other related engineering projects such as: complete streets projects, roadway widening, sidewalk infill, traffic signal & electrical, and bridge replacements. The Associate Civil Engineer also serves as project leader with supervisory responsibility for all aspects of a project, including but not limited to; managing project budgets and schedules, PS&E, environmental coordination, Right-of-Way acquisitions, utility coordination, construction engineering, and performs other duties as assigned. 
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Sacramento County’s Improvement Standards, CA MUTCD, and Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications or similar, and be comfortable in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment. The Associate Civil Engineer should demonstrate effective time management & communication skills, motivated & a go-getter, and also be able to maintain effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, consultants, external agencies, and other County entities.
