We are looking for Associate Civil Engineer for our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CA MUTCD, Sacramento County’s Improvement Standards, and Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications or similar, and be comfortable with public speaking and excel in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Associate Transportation Engineer is responsible for overseeing and performing a variety of complex professional field and office engineering work in connection with Traffic Engineering for the Maintenance and Operations Division and other related engineering tasks such as: traffic-related investigations and safety improvement projects. This role includes speaking to residents to inform them of the investigation findings. The Associate Transportation Engineer performs complex engineering work and acts as lead supervisor to a small group of engineering and/or paraprofessional engineering staff, and performs other duties as assigned.
The Associate Transportation Engineer should demonstrate effective time management & communication skills, motivated & a go-getter, and also be able to maintain effective working relationships with superiors, subordinates, consultants, external agencies, other County entities and the general public.
