SACDOT has completed a study to evaluate the feasibility of alternatives for creating a continuous north-south walk and bikeway through the area of the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) underpass on or adjacent to Watt Avenue north of Roseville Road. This includes evaluating options to provide safe passage for both pedestrians and bicyclist through the underpass area. Providing facilities to separate pedestrian and bicycle movements under the UPRR tracks at Watt Avenue will also encourage more people to walk and bike along this critical segment of Watt Avenue. Staff is currently evaluating study results and potential funding alternatives.
