Project Description
This project will replace the existing concrete deck on timber stringers bridge with a three-span, precast concrete California-wide-flange girder bridge. The project site is located on Alta Mesa Road approximately 1/3 mile north of Twin Cities Road.

Right-of-Way Acquisition: No right-of-way acquisition is anticipated for this project
Construction: May 2024 to October 2024
- Motorist can expect delays along Alta Mesa Road due to construction activities associated with the Alta Mesa Bridge replacement project. Temporary signals are in place to guide motorists through a temporary one-lane road. Detour signs for an alternate route will be in place.
- Traffic is being routed through a temporary one-lane road, and delays are likely to be experienced.

Funding
The estimated construction cost for this bridge replacement project is $8.3 million. Project costs will be covered with funds from the Federal Highway Bridge Replacement (HBP), Senate Bill 1 (SB1) Local Streets and Roads Program (LSRP), and the County Road Fund.
