Project Description
The project was bid on March 24, 2022 and has been awarded to Central Valley Engineering & Asphalt, Inc. Construction is scheduled to begin in June 2022 with completion anticipated in October 2022. Some preliminary work may occur prior to the start of construction, such as installation of Project Information Signs. Access will be maintained to all residences and businesses during construction. Pedestrian and bicycle mobility will also be maintained.
Project Scope
- Construction of infill curb, gutter, and sidewalk on the west side of Howe Avenue.
- Improved bicycle and pedestrian facilities on Howe Avenue between Cottage Way and El Camino Avenue.
- Raised/landscaped median from Delma Way to El Camino Avenue.
- Signal modifications at the intersection of Howe Avenue at Cottage Way, Howe Avenue at Delma Way and Howe Avenue at El Camino Avenue.
- Funding for the project is from the State Active Transportation Program, Measure A Sales Tax, and Local Road Fund.
