We are looking for Assistant Civil Engineers for our Transportation Planning/Traffic team. The ideal candidate will possess good management, writing, and communication skills.
The Assistant Civil Engineer is responsible for a variety of civil and traffic engineering work in connection with the review of development projects. The Assistant Civil Engineer will review impacts to the County’s transportation network and vehicle miles traveled (VMT) by performing trip generation calculations using the ITE Trip Generation Manual or other approved data. The Assistant Civil Engineer will work with the Associate Civil Engineer in scoping and reviewing traffic studies and VMT analyses.
The Assistant Engineer will become familiar with the County’s General Plan, Improvement Standards, Transportation Analysis Guidelines, and Special Planning Area requirements.
