Project Description
This project will widen Madison Avenue from Sunrise Boulevard to Hazel Avenue. The project will widen some areas within the project limits to 5 lanes while other areas will remain as 4 lanes. Along with buffered bike lanes, the roadway improvements throughout the project limits will include landscaped medians, sidewalk along both sides of Madison Avenue, drainage facilities, pavement overlay, and traffic signal modifications. New signal interconnect will also be installed to provide traffic congestion relief.

- Preliminary Engineering: 2019 to 2021
- Environmental Clearance: 2024
- Design: 2024 to 2026
- Right-of-Way Acquisition: 2024 to 2026
- Construction: 2027 to 20268
Funding
Estimated total project costs are $29 million and will be provided by Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program (CMAQ) funds, Measure A funds, and developer fees.
