Targeted Speed Enforcement

SACDOT staff identifies locations for temporary targeted enforcement, based on personal observations and survey comments. A request can be submitted to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for the desired enforcement. Because of limited CHP resources, the targeted enforcement may be limited in duration. Targeted enforcement may also be used in conjunction with new neighborhood traffic management devices to help drivers become aware of the new restrictions.
