Michigan Bar Bridge Replacement

Project Description

This project proposes to replace the existing concrete panel deck on steel box truss bridge with a new structure.  It is desired to retain the historical character of the existing bridge architecture.  The existing bridge has an annual Average Daily Traffic (ADT) volume of less than 100 vehicles.  The new bridge, at a minimum, will provide for a twelve foot wide, single lane for vehicles and a five foot wide multi-use shoulder for pedestrians and bicyclists.

The project site is located on Michigan Bar Road approximately 1 mile north of State Route 16 in Eastern Sacramento County.
