Signs, Markings, and Striping

The Traffic Signs and Marking Section performs maintenance on ALL non-electrical traffic control devices.

Currently, SACDOT maintains 95,169 traffic signs, 22,466 marking (legends), 2,650 painted  lane miles and 60,000 raised pavement markers

Non-electrical Traffic Control Devices include:

  • All traffic signs (regulatory, warning, and informational).
  • All painted and thermo-plastic lane lines.
  • All raised reflective and not reflective pavement marker (except fire hydrant markers).
  • All roadside delineation (guide markers).
  • All painted and thermo-plastic pavement markings such as arrows legends, limit lines, and crosswalks.
